The Trinity Chorale is the adult choir of Trinity Baptist Church that leads in Sanctuary worship on Sunday mornings on the Mulberry Campus, directed by Jacob Sensenig. In addition, the Chorale presents special musical events throughout the year. There are no auditions, just a willingness to commit to rehearse and participate in worship and concerts with the Chorale. If you love to “make a joyful noise” to the Lord, you are invited to be part of this group of caring adults who offer encouragement and support through learning more about God’s great gift of music. The Trinity Orchestra leads in the Sanctuary musical worship approximately twice each month. The Trinity Orchestra welcomes instrumentalists ages 15 and above, who play strings, woodwinds, brass, or percussion. This wide collection of ages, experience, and musical achievement is directed by Dean Zarmbinski. Participation as a soloist and in smaller ensembles occurs quite frequently for those interested. Member of the orchestra have additional opportunities to play in accompanying the Trinity Chorale in special programs. The TriPoint Worship Band, involving vocalists and instrumentalists, leads TriPoint worship each week. Located in the beautiful Fanning Foyer, adjacent to the Sanctuary and Children’s Center, this chamber music concert series features professional and semi-professional musicians from the San Antonio area performing a variety of vocal, keyboard, and instrumental music. Concerts are free, but donations are taken at the door.

A scholarship program for vocal, instrumental, and general music education students in the areas colleges and universities to provide a consistent environment to participate in church music leadership positions as they take part in singing in the Trinity Chorale, playing in the Trinity Orchestra, or participating in Preschool and Children’s Choir Leadership positions (additional responsibilities based on talent and skill sets). Due to the success of this program and the high return rate of scholars from previous years, we have limited spots available for this season (2023-2024).

Scholarships range from $1,200-$1,500 annually ($600-$750 per semester).

Scholarship Requirements

Trinity Baptist Church Choral Music Scholars become full participating members of the Trinity Chorale and are required to attend weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays and worship on Sundays.

Trinity Baptist Church Instrumental Music Scholars become full participating members of the Trinity Orchestra and are required to attend weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays and worship on Sundays when the orchestra plays, approximately twice a month.
