Ten Years by Les Hollon

Ten Years

A decade. 3,650 days. A call given. A call accepted. A grand adventure begun and continues. Thank you for allowing me to be your pastor. At times, along the way, one year seemed like 30 years, and other years seemed as one month. Filled with joys, challenges, and breakthroughs – the time has been richly rewarding. I’ve learned, grown, and been strengthened by your goodness and God’s faithfulness.

We’ve shared life. Laughed. Cried. Celebrated. Mourned. We’ve gathered for 520 Sundays to worship and to serve side by side, day by day, week in and week out. We’ve moved forward as a church, unied and diverse. God has entrusted us with dynamic gospel ministries which impact thousands of lives.

We’ve trusted God and followed His promises. God who is perfect has graced us with mercies. You’ve made me a better person and pastor as we’ve made this journey. And I am thrilled for what lies ahead!

I am grateful for how you’ve given beautiful support and encouragement to my family. Steven graduated from Baylor and moved to San Francisco. Ryan & Michelle married in our sanctuary, and moved from Chicago to San Antonio. Olivia and Eden were born. Rachel moved to SA from LA. Tom & she married at Trinity. Jack was born. Vicki shifted her vocational call from the Wayne Oates Institute to leading on Trinity’s front lines. You’ve blessed us individually and as a family!

By God’s grace this grand adventure will continue for many more years. My call is strong. I awaken each day grateful to be your pastor. From this comes an energy to pastor & preach as Trinity Baptist Church serves from the heart of America’s fastest growing city.
