What do you know about your neighbors? What do you know about your neighborhood? If you could see your neighbors’ prayer request lists, what do you think would be on them? Probably requests similar to your own or those we see every day in our Prayer Room. Or maybe they have no prayer lists because they have no relationship with our Lord. Did you know you can help? From your very own home?
Beginning in February, Trinity will participate with a growing number of churches throughout Texas in the Pray4EveryHome project. More details will be forthcoming, but in a nutshell if you choose to participate you will receive personalized listings of the names and addresses of people in your neighborhood. And what are you supposed to do with the list? Pray for the people, allowing God to direct you how to pray. That’s it! Simply pray for them.
Pray4EveryHome is an effort that began when a group of pastors – overwhelmed by the growing number of people who don’t know Jesus and aware the status quo of church work was not having a great enough impact – simply asked the question: “What if we prayed for every household by name?” And, in February you will have the opportunity to be a part of that answer. If you sign up, you will receive your list of names by e-mail or, if you do not have access to e-mail, you can obtain your list through the church.
Again, our participation will begin in February. You will receive guidance about signing up at that time. If you would like more information about the program, you might check out Pray4EveryHome.com for additional details. In the meantime, you can start praying now that God will bless this effort and that our neighborhoods will be blessed and changed. Now isn’t that something worth praying for? Amen!
