Music Ministry Update

The Music and Worship Ministry is off to a busy start and I’m excited to share some very exciting news! We have recently hired Dean Zarmbinski as our new Instrumental Music Associate/Administrative Assistant. Dean’s primary responsibilities will be in the administrative assistant role, which has been fulfilled by volunteer, Mary Hamilton, for the past two years. However, Dean comes to this position with decades of experience conducting instrumental ensembles. He will be taking the lead with the TBC Orchestra and giving new life to this cherished ensemble. You can read more about Dean on the Music and Ministry page on the church website: trinitybaptist.org/welcome-dean

Children’s Choirs and Chorale rehearsal have already started, but it’s never too late for people of any age to join these ensembles. For anyone interested in joining the Chorale weekly, or just for the Christmas season, please come to our Chorale retreat on Saturday, September 16 from 8:30am-4:00pm at our TriPoint Campus. This will be a day filled with music, games, Christmas cookies and fantastic fellowship!

We also have our first Fanning Foyer Festival taking place on Friday, October 6 at 7:00 pm. Our own Zachary Ridgway will be collaborating with Rick Novak, tenor and Gary Fair, clarinet. The Fanning Foyer Festival series annually presents the highest quality chamber music and solo artists from around the San Antonio area. The concerts are free, but donations are taken at the door to offset the costs of the series. Please share this event with friends and help us fill the Fanning Foyer with an eager audience!
