Growing Ministry

Growing Ministry

The Student Ministry here at Trinity Baptist Church has had the most amazing and glory-filled summer! God has moved and is continuing to move now. We started the summer with a leadership camp, Super Summer, in which twenty of our student leaders learned and grew in the word, taking part of 29 hours of bible study that week. We saw a couple of our own students surrender to the call of vocational ministry at Super Summer and saw all of our students lives impacted by the glory of Christ.

We then traveled to Glorieta New Mexico for Student Life Camp. My heart was more blessed at this week-long camp than any other camp I have been to. One of the nights we were there I led a prayer night with our students, in which, they prayed over one another and their leaders. I can honestly say that God was lingering in that room that night. As we all cried our eyes out we were reminded just how blessed we are as a family of believers to be able to link arms and pray for each other. We saw several students surrender their life to Jesus at Glorieta. I fell in love with this camp and will remember what Jesus did there for years and years to come.

We ended the summer with a very hot and long week in Del Rio. Last year at Building On The Border we took 22 students and leaders. When we scouted the work to do this year we felt as if we signed on for a bit of a bigger project than last year, and were uncertain that the job would be done with the amount of people we were expecting. We began to pray that God would make a way for us to do this work. Well, He sent 49 students and leaders from Trinity Baptist Church to lead the way.

In every event we did, in every trip we took, no matter what our hands found to do, God was there, leading us, helping us, and showing us how and why to serve. is summer was unforgettable and we will use and build upon what He has done.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayer and support and love I have felt. It truly is a blessing being a part of a Caring Family of Believers.
