From the Prayer Ministry – April

“He is risen!”
“He is risen indeed!”
“Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!”
“He lives, He lives . . . He lives within my heart!”
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said….”

Matthew 28:6

As we prepare to celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we be prayerful about each event during the Holy Week. May we invite friends, neighbors, and those who might not know the Living Lord to attend one or all of these special worship services. May there be many who make decisions to follow Christ and experience His presence and power. May we, who are familiar with this last week of Jesus’ life, rededicate our commitment to follow and serve Him each day. (John 14:27)

Pray for Ladies’ Ministry event, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, the week of April 6. May there be participation by new ladies who have never attended – may they be welcomed and make new friends. Pray for those who have attended in the past, that they commit once again to be part of these special evenings. Pray for the planning of each one. (Philippians 4:8)

Pray for the Men’s Ministry breakfast on Saturday, April 11. It will be held at TriPoint in the Grantham Center at 8:00 a.m. Mark Pfeiffer, Ph.D. will be the guest speaker. Pray our men will invite guests from their workplace as well as other friends. Pray it will be well-attended, with blessings for each one. (Philippians 2:1-2)

Pray for the Missions Team and especially Denise and Brad Bruchmiller as they host Gantigmaa Ganbold, her mother, and an interpreter from Mongolia. This 6-year-old girl will receive a life-saving heart surgery at University Hospital. Pray for all those involved in the surgery, her surgeons, caregivers, and everyone who attends to her. Pray she, her mother, and the interpreter will feel the love of Christ through all that host and give them care. (Matthew 18:5)

Pray for TBC National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7 at TriPoint, jointly sponsored by YMCA of Greater San Antonio and Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio. Pray for our featured speakers: Mayor Ivy Taylor, Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller of the Archdiocese of San Antonio, and Rabbi Mara Nathan of Temple Bethel. Pray for wide community involvement and attendance. Pray God will use this breakfast to foster connections and bring unity to diverse areas of our city. Pray God will be glorified in all that is said and done. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
