Resources for Bible Study Teachers

Many excellent resources exist to help teachers prepare lessons that are not only informational but inspiring and motivational. The Teaching Guides for both the BaptistWay and Formations literature are of high quality. But teachers frequently wish for additional creative ideas to help them add interest to the class. Effective teachers will call upon a variety of helps in preparation of their lessons. Some possibilities:

The curricula we use most at Trinity, Baptist Way and Formations, provide online support with added teaching resources. For those who don’t know how to access these helps, the following websites will be helpful.

For BaptistWay, go to

http://www.bgct.org/texasbaptists/Page.aspx?&pid=458&srcid=467

Click the Adults tab and look for the section which says the following:

“Most studies also have” and click the buttons listed below and follow the instructions on the page to get to the various book studies. This will then take you to the pages with specific helps for that study.

For Formations, go to

http://www.helwys.com/premium/index.html

Hit the button “Sign up for Formations Premium.” You will be asked for a password. You will find the password on the back of your Teacher’s Guide. Once you are in, then follow the instructions.

Teachers have a wonderful and diverse resource right here on our campus. Of course it is our library. One can find a wide variety of books on just about any topic, including a rich supply of commentaries, in our well-stocked library. In addition, there are a number of teaching modules with teachers’ guides and student workbooks on several topical issues. Take some time to look through the stacks. If you have a specific need or idea contact Ginna Ballard.
