John’s Trail Talk

John Park, Associate Pastor

Do it for Love

Twice a year Christian Churches celebrate especially significant events which appeal to many people within our community: Christmas and Easter. We are always grateful to share in worship on these special dates with our community friends!

As we anticipate an especially large attendance on Easter, you will be pleased to know that we are purposefully inviting those who live in the neighborhoods around our church, mainly through an initiative by our deacon body. We will also be using every avenue of media to invite persons to worship with us on this Holy day; either at the Sonrise Service, Bible Study, or the Worship Service. Most of the people who are guests at churches, however, are those who were personally invited by family or friends. Is there a person that God may be highlighting in your sphere of influence to invite to Easter Worship?

We are also making big strides to be good hosts with parking lot greeters, good signage, continental breakfast, pew greeters, and even some special opportunities following the Easter Service: family photo opportunities in front of the Flowered Cross, and an opportunity to personally meet the pastor. Inherent in all these hosting opportunities is the need for friendly volunteers! Would you be willing to make someone’s Easter by serving in a volunteer capacity?

In advance of this special day, other volunteers will be working on our landscaping: planting, pruning, and trimming on Saturday, March 13th. Whether working on the church lawn, baking, serving, setting up chairs, helping people find parking spots, greeting folks in the foyer or sanctuary-it is all about sharing in the celebration of Christ’s love. Please contact John Park via email if you will help make someone’s Easter especially joyous in one of these ways. Thanks so much!
