Pastoral Reflections

D. Leslie Hollon, Ph.D.Senior Pastor

What a remarkable year we have lived together! God has graciously blessed us. I am grateful to God and you for calling me to be your pastor and for expressing your generous love to the Hollon family.Your presentations last week were and are deeply meaningful.

We are in the midst of a tremendous challenge. God’s renewal and growth of Trinity Baptist Church is important to our region and areas of our world.

Our strategic progress connects us to the next stages of growth which are before us. Strategic ministry comes by doing today what can and needs to be done in such a way that it leads us to become who God wants us to be in the future.

The following is a working vision for our strategic development:

Trinity Baptist Church is a regional congregation whose three campuses are located in the heart of San Anatonio, Texas. As a growing five generation congregation with diverse minustries, we are passionately committed to help seekers become believers and believers to become disciples. Our compassionate ministries & missions connects thousands of people to God’s love every week.

This vision is a work in progress. Even as God’s vision for your life is also a work in progress. Together we can make both visions a great reality. I am glad to be your pastor in this great calling.

On March 28 we will launch an 8 week experiment for college grads and young professionals who are in their 20’s. We are forming a Sunday morning “bridge” from our Tripoint Campus to our Mulberry Campus. From fun conversations we have been having with a individuals in this demographic, we are positioned to begin a Sunday morning Bible Study on our Mulberry Campus, followed by a participaion in our worship service. More information will be provided in our next Trumpet issue.

During March we will be pursuing a major inreach to our entire church family and a major outreach to the San Antonio region. This opportunity is another key application of our “each one, reach one.” Be praying for and connecting with the person/s you are to be reaching.
