Meet Tabitha Williams, Trinity’s New Receptionist
When you call or visit Trinity Baptist Church, you will be greeted by a new voice - the voice of Tabitha Williams, our new receptionist.
Tabitha joined the Trinity staff in December of 2009, just days before the retirement of Donna Floyd, Trinity’s previous receptionist. Donna and Tabitha spent those days together, with Donna helping Tabitha learn the ins and outs of Trinity. Donna officially retired on December 31, and Tabitha took over the receptionist responsibilities on a full-time basis January 1.
Tabitha wasn’t looking for a job in a church office, but she quickly decided that Trinity was the place for her.
“I was looking around in the paper when I saw the ad,” she said. “Something told me to fax my resume. Besides that, I thought, what a perfect place to work - great people and great atmosphere!”
Tabitha has had a positive experience in her first weeks at Trinity. “I love the people,” she said. “Everyone is very nice, helping, and very welcoming! I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to be around!”
Tabitha’s presence has been a blessing to her fellow staff members, as well. “I like to joke around and make people laugh,” she said. “Laughter is the spark of the soul!”
