Community Ministries
Angel Food Ministry – Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, Non-
denominational organization dedicated to providing food
relief to communities throughout the USA. The Angel Food
Ministry of TBC coordinates the distribution of food ordered
and purchased through Angel Food Ministries (national)
organization to those families and individuals within and
without the Trinity membership. Time involved: one Saturday
morning a month, and as needed to assist with order taking.
C.A.R.E. Ministry - This team ministers to persons in Care centers,
Assisted living, Resident homes, Etc. (Rehab) through visits,
telephone calls, and cards. Time involved: Periodic hourly
meetings and/or time involved for visits, calls or sending
cards.
C.A.R.T. Ministry - Christian Action Repair Team - This team does
repairs and construction-related work for those in need in our
church family and immediate community (elderly, disabled,
low-income, etc.) Team members obtain materials necessary
to do the jobs (either through donation of supplies and money
or from church budget as available). In some cases the
person may already have the supplies, but not be able to
afford the labor cost. C.A.R.T. is also used as a missional
training tool for Trinity’s youth under the guidance of the
appropriate pastoral staff and team leader. This teaches skills
useful in promoting our commission to “go and teach.” Time
involved: 2-8 hours a month.
Crisis Outreach/Disaster Relief - This team responds to local, state,
or National Disasters. During times of disaster, ministry
volunteers serve in a shelter of “special needs” evacuees
under the direction of Baptist Child and Family Services, and
when on-site assistance is required, serve with Texas Baptist
Men (which includes men and women). All types of skills are
needed, and training is provided. Time involved: as needed
when a disaster occurs and periodic meetings and training
sessions.
His Helping Hands - This team assists those TBC members/close
community who have long term health needs in order to
maintain their independence for as long as possible by
providing simple assistance. Team members help those in
need by providing non- medical assistance with tasks such
as picking up groceries, running errands, providing a ride to
the doctor, or friendly visiting. Time involved: As needed to
provide assistance.
Outreach Team - This team is comprised of Sunday School
outreach directors and others interested in reaching the San
Antonio regions for Christ. Strategic thinking, contagious
enthusiasm, and cooperative applications are shared with the
team to facilitate the spiritual and numerical growth of TBC.
Our welcoming, inclusive purpose is to help seekers become
believers, and believers to become disciples through the Trinity
Family ministry life.
ReaCH Ministry - Revitalize, Energize, Activate your Calling for Him!
This team meets the needs of individuals to assist with utilities
and food and to assist individuals in finding the proper local
community organizations where additional assistance may be
obtained. Team members exhibit a love, concern, non-
judgmental and compassionate heart for all people, a love of
ministry and the ability to share the love of Christ with
individuals of all backgrounds.
TriPoint – This advisory team assists the Senior Pastor and TriPoint
Chaplain to coordinate the usage, programming and ministries
of the TriPoint facility.
