Put together by Wayne and Veronica Grant, John Park Jr. and Les and Vicki Hollon, the manual contains a lot of useful information. The library also has copies of the books mentioned in the manual’s Outreach section: The Present Future: Six Tough Questions for the Church by Reggie McNeal (262 McN) and UnChristian by David Kinnaman (277.3 Kin).

Library Volunteers Needed:

The Library needs volunteers! Do you love to read? Do you have basic computer skills? We need your help. We need circulation desk help on Wednesday afternoons and on Sunday mornings. We will also be working on some special projects this year and are looking for people interested in helping with story times, in data entry for memorial books and in other special projects that can be done throughout the week. If you have one or two extra hours a month or even weekly and enjoy books and sharing books with others please contact Ginna Ballard at 738-7767.

Making a small donation for a book to be placed in our church library is a wonderful way to remember or honor someone important in your life. It’s always interesting to be especially touched by a certain book and learn that it was placed in memory of someone who was important in the life of our church. There are also many interesting children’s book donations. One book contains handprints from children who gave a book in honor of their favorite Sunday School teacher. We also have many children’s books placed in honor of birthdays and Baptisms.

As the holiday season approaches keep the church library in mind. A library book is a wonderful gift to give that can be shared by many!
