Library News

Did you know that there are two new PCs in the library? Do you need to check email, do a little research on an upcoming trip or just have some time to kill while you’re at the church? Come by the library and use one of our new PCs, located on counter behind our Circulation Desk.
You can also access the entire list of the books in our collection online. The list includes the book call number, enabling our patrons to come by and check in the collection for a book. The list does not update whether or not the book is checked out. Just go to www.trinitybaptist.org, click on Ministries and Media Center. The first link on the Media Center page will allow you to access the collection list.
Finally, there is also a Merlin Enhanced Viewing System available for use in the library. The Merlin EVS is a full-color, auto-focus video magnifier system designed to enhance the lifestyle of the visually impaired. It enables individuals with low vision to read, write, view photos, enjoy hobbies and more!

Library Volunteers Needed:

The Library needs volunteers! Do you love to read? Do you have basic computer skills? We need your help. We need circulation desk help on Wednesday afternoons and on Sunday mornings. We will also be working on some special projects this year and are looking for people interested in helping with story times, in data entry for memorial books and in other special projects that can be done throughout the week. If you have one or two extra hours a month or even weekly and enjoy books and sharing books with others please contact Ginna Ballard at 738-7767.

Making a small donation for a book to be placed in our church library is a wonderful way to remember or honor someone important in your life. It’s always interesting to be especially touched by a certain book and learn that it was placed in memory of someone who was important in the life of our church. There are also many interesting children’s book donations. One book contains handprints from children who gave a book in honor of their favorite Sunday School teacher. We also have many children’s books placed in honor of birthdays and Baptisms.

As the holiday season approaches keep the church library in mind. A library book is a wonderful gift to give that can be shared by many!
