Pastoral Reflections
D. Leslie Hollon, Ph.D., Senior Pastor
On May 2nd we will pursue a special stewardship celebration for all the ways God is working through Trinity. Our shared life in faith forms us into a church family. From recent days, let me share some of the ways I have seen God at work in our church. Each of the following represents the impact of everyone’s efforts in TBC “being the people of God by doing the work of God.” Our three campuses hum with the gospel and our city is impacted by the lives of our members.

Stewardship Thoughts
Over the last several weeks I have had the opportunity to be a part of multiple team meetings. And I truly and genuinely mean “opportunity.” These meetings are meetings with many of the lay leaders we as a church “called” into service. These leaders are investing much time and even more brain power discussing and deliberating on how we as a church can do all we can to be effective stewards of all that God has blessed and provided us.

Words of Wisdom
Donn Wisdom, Minister of Music & Worship Arts
Scriptures of musical praise resound throughout the book of Psalms much like the hymn arrangements of the OBU Symphonic Band did in worship on February 28 – with trumpet, flute, cymbal, all instruments in adoration of God concluding in Psalm 150 with the phrase “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” That is our charge and our privilege to offer praise and prayer in worship when God’s people are gathered at Trinity and encourage all to “Praise the Lord!”

Texas Hope 2010
“Texas Hope 2010” is the dream that we, as Texas Baptists, can share the gospel with EVERY Texan in his or her own language, and in their own context! Trinity will “give feet” to this dream on Saturday, March 27! On that date, we will assemble in the TBC Dining Room at 10:00 for a brief orientation session. Then we will move out into our surrounding neighborhoods to deliver packets containing a CD-ROM of the Gospel of John, an invitation to Holy Week activities at Trinity, and a coupon for a free cup of coffee at Grace Coffee Café.

John’s Trail Talk
John Park, Associate Pastor
Twice a year Christian Churches celebrate especially significant events which appeal to many people within our community: Christmas and Easter. We are always grateful to share in worship on these special dates with our community friends! As we anticipate an especially large attendance on Easter, you will be pleased to know that we are purposefully inviting those who live in the neighborhoods around our church, mainly through an initiative by our deacon body.

Serving Him Together
Debbie Potter, Children’s & Women’s Pastor
Sunday night, February 28 was an exciting evening of fun, fellowship, and families. We embarked to the Northwoods Ice Skating Rink for our 2nd annual Family Ice Skating Adventure. The goal of this particular event was three-fold for: Families to interact with each other, Families to buy a ticket to give to another family and, Good old-fashioned fellowship.
