Pastoral Reflections

Last Tuesday I stood at the Dublin gravesite of my grandparents while officiating the funeral service of my Aunt Dorothy. She was a beautiful woman of feisty faith who lived well and long. At day’s end, I stood with my son, Ryan, at the gravesite of my parents in Boerne. The day’s uniqueness enabled me to “time travel” from the late 19th century to the early 21st century.

An Outpouring of Love
TBC is part of an international effort to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake.
In recent weeks, the already-bleak situation in Haiti has seemed to grow worse with each passing day. Amid the continued confusion and chaos that has gripped this nation since the earthquate in late January, officials have raised their estimate of the number of dead to well over 200,000 persons.

We are excited to announce the formation of our Youth Pastor Search Team! As you may know, our previous youth minister, Nils Smith, has assumed a new role in charge of the college ministry and online communications. Chris Tripputi will be serving as Interim Youth Minister while we find our new pastor.

“Love Your Neighbor” Food Pantry Drive
Our fall food drive was very successful. However, because of the great hunger needs of our community, we are planning another church-wide food collection which will take place from February 14 to March 7.

Town Hall Meeting
Trinity Baptist Church will host a Town Hall meeting on Sunday, February 21. Lunch will be served in the Large Dining Room immediately following the morning worship service, and the meeting will begin once everyone is served.
