Segue with Robby Seay
Nils Smith, College & Internet Pastor
In celebrating Holy Week at Segue we had a very exciting night on Monday, March 29. We invited Robbie Seay Band to come and lead us in a concert along with John Mark McMillan and Jillian Edwards. It was an incredible night of worship with over 600 in attendance along with almost 100 viewers online! It was a great time of interaction watching TBC members and Segue attenders connecting over hotdogs and nachos followed by singing together in the Grantham Auditorium.

Words of Wisdom
Donn Wisdom, Minister of Music & Worship Arts
Over the next few weeks, every adult and youth member of Trinity Baptist Church will have opportunity to consider their part in participating in the Music and Worship Arts Ministry – and then join in! Already through personal conversations and by having received names of musicians / artists from Trinity “Talent Scouts” I have compiled a list of prospective new members. Some of these names are Trinity members and attenders who have participated in the past and some are relatively new to Trinity.

Viva Fiesta
It’s that time of year again and Trinity’s Mainstream Youth Choir is selling tickets for the Fiesta Parades. Sales have been good and we’ve sold out for the night parade, but there are still 2nd and 3rd row chairs available for the Battle of Flowers day parade on Friday, April 23.

TBC Mission Project Helps Local Students
The Missions Team of Trinity Baptist Church takes literally the words of Acts 1:8. For us, Jerusalem is San Antonio; Judea and Samaria are Texas and the United States; and “to the ends of the earth” encompasses not only Latin America , but also Asia, Africa, and Europe. Mission trips are planned to the Texas/Mexico border, to Costa Rica, and to Ghana, but the local division of the Missions Team realizes that there are also needs here in our own city and, in fact, in our own neighborhood.

Death, Taxes, and New Life
Wayne Grant, Discipleship and Education Team Chair
As I reflect on the last few weeks here at TriPoint and the upcoming deadline of April 15, I find myself on a roller coaster ride. TriPoint means Third Point, we all have our first point [home] then most of us have a second point [work/school] the third point is where we start to get diverse. For some, it is the gym, church, coffee shop or maybe its all three…TriPoint! We are working hard at becoming a place where people come to hang out and encounter the love and compassion of Jesus.

We Can Meet the Challenge
Dave Ballard, Stewardship Team Leader
Thank you all for all you do in the name of Christ through your efforts in the various ministries and teams at Trinity Baptist Church. As you know we are challenged again this year with regards to meeting an ambitious ministry plan budget for our church year. Over the past few weeks, team leaders from various teams (Personnel, Missions, Facilities, Finance, Stewardship and Outreach) have met together along with staff to discuss a mid-year review of where we stand. Year to date our giving is up when compared to last year and Thanks Be to God for that. It should not be underestimated the commitment our congregation has as many non-profits continue to struggle and find themselves well off last year’s fundraising efforts. At the same time however remember the church affirmed a bold ministry plan and corresponding budget increase of over 26%.

Serving Him Together
Debbie Potter, Children’s & Women’s Pastor
Palm Sunday the front lawn of our church was transformed into a thrilling site with as many as 150 children scurrying around to find Easter eggs filled with candy. This was our second annual Easter Eggstravaganza that was held for our children and their families. As I stood back and watched, my heart was filled with such joy. Children need these rich experiences in their lives and they need some of them to occur at church. Can you remember some of the experiences you had as a child at your church? I certainly can; they are some of my most precious memories of childhood.
